“Traditional college majors are dated”
In today’s fast-paced world, technology is everywhere. It shapes how we communicate, learn, and create. But some people still hesitate to fully embrace it, especially in schools.
As a parent visiting colleges with my 17-year-old son, I’ve seen this hesitation firsthand. Some teachers talk about technology as if it’s a bad thing. But I believe it’s a tool for unlocking creativity and progress.
Thinking back on my own experiences, I remember how important technology has been for me. From using software like Photoshop to exploring AI, each tool has helped me bring my ideas to life.
My son has also been a big part of this journey. Together, we’ve explored new technologies and discovered how they can help us learn and create.
As a mentor, I encourage my son and others to see technology as a tool for growth. Instead of seeing it as cheating, we should use it to make our work better and more efficient.When looking at colleges, I tell my son to find ones that embrace technology.
